I reckon I know a thing or two about death and rebirth.
My first big rebirth was aged 14, making the gutsy call to leave the religious cult I had been born into.
I was knocking on doors as a Jehovah’s witness from the age of 4-14.. getting brainwashed for 7 hours a week of church lectures.
And then I said enough is enough. Told my Mum, never again am I going to church or knocking on doors. Doneski. She went ballistic and then had a full blown depressive meltdown. It was awful.
It was terrifying to leave… thats all I knew. I was threatened with demonic possession and a sure death in Armageddon, missing out on eternal life in paradise… and I was told by a whole convoy of guilt-tripping Priests that I was making a terrible call and ruining my mothers life.
But 14 year old Jiro just knew that wasn’t his path.
My second rebirth was aged 30, making a conscious decision to leave the corporate world and illusions of success that come with it.
I was earning big bucks and getting pretty into all that money and the identity that went with being a successful guy… but my true self could not stand the stench of my ego’s bullshit… or the compromise on wild, free living outside the matrix.
To truly cut the chord of salary, safety, kudos, career. To walk a different path. To tell my father I was moving to Bali to surf and meditate. Haha. It was scary.
My third rebirth is fresh as… just 2 years ago: the heartbreak of my marriage ending, leading to loss of home and community, through this hectic period of viruses and mandates, fear and division and all that. What a journey that has been.
I’m endlessly dying and rebirthing on micro and macro levels.
I imagine you too know a thing or 2 about death and rebirth.. because you and I are just the same.
We've all heard the quotes and the timeless wisdom that feels cliché until it's our lived truth:
We know the darkest hour is before the dawn
We know that the wound is the gift
We know that suffering and pain is what helps us grow
We know that everything we want in life is on the other side of what we fear most
We know that if we can somehow learn to let go of control, something magical awaits
But how do we actually put this wisdom into action?
How to we summon the courage to let go of the past and leap into the new?
How exactly does the pain become the portal to what we want in life?
How exactly can the intensity of those fears, the terror of annihilation, endless suffering and death actually become the path to fearless warrior living?
What is the process to grow through suffering and heartbreak?
How can anguish and grief help us live from the heart?
How do we move through the wounds of trauma, betrayal, abuse or resentment… into the light of grace and acceptance?
How do we let go of lifelong patterns of protection and defence, and show up naked and vulnerable?
What does rebirth look like, practically speaking?
How does metamorphosis actually happen?
There is a way. Trust me. There are many ways.
In fact, you already know these ways. They are the song of the Earth, encoded in your DNA. Through every inhale you receive and every exhale you release, you sing this song.
There are well trodden paths, ancient myths and rites of initiation, wisdom passed down from elder to initiate... and absolute truths that simply emerge from the void that help us remember the song of creation and the dance of rebirth.
You, my friend, are just like the caterpillar that cocoons itself, disintegrates in its self-created chrysalis coffin and emerges somehow as a winged creature beyond it's wildest dreams!
You got this... But sometimes, it's a good thing to have a guide, a mentor, a trusted advisor. Because although metamorphosis is a journey no one can do for you, there is so much wisdom and support that can help you navigate through the dark void.
There are practical tools and mind-shattering shifts in perspective that can transform this journey from an arduous ordeal to a joyful dance.
And I want to share them with you. :)
So, what is my invitation to you?
If you are sincere in your desire to do the work necessary to rise like a phoenix from the ashes... if you are warrior like in your commitment to living your most beautiful, creative and expressive life...
Then, I invite you to meander with me. I promise no quick fixes. No magical cures or hacks. I'll point you again and again to the path of the heart, the lifelong apprenticeship to nobility and integrity.
Let me be your guide off the beaten path, to those mysterious inner landscapes where the soil is dark, fertile and freshly tilled.
Let’s roam together with gentle curiosity into the cavernous depths of heart.
Let’s shine a soft light of loving awareness on those tender places.
Let's honour what has been, the pain of it all, the anguish, confusion and the grief of what has been.
Let's reclaim and reconcile parts of us we thought had been forever lost.
Let's grieve what we truly choose to let die.
Let's arrive in this moment with honesty and grace, aged like fine wine, seasoned by the seasons, tempered by scorching flame, standing up present and clear in the here and the now, bearing our scars and stretch marks as marks of initiation.
Let's create new prayers, and sing them loud as we set sail for new horizons.
Let's make new vows to express the poetics of our heart, and stand up for what we know to be true.
Let's be that creature beyond our wildest dreams. Why not?
Send me an email if you are intrigued.
But just so we don’t waste each others time, please consider that this is an offer for intensive private coaching: this is a journey of rare depth, intimacy and value.
This is not a group container. This is not a 6 week challenge.
This is you and I, soul to soul, facing up to what is true and what is not… this is death doula and birth midwifery work. It’s sacred, tender and something very close to my heart.
I only offer the Metamorphosis journey to 3 people at a time because it demands of my undiluted presence.
And so of course, it requires a big commitment and financial investment (5 figures).
